Naza: The Real Story · documentary
After 7 October the Israeli army went into Gaza to dismantle Hamas and bring the hostages home. This Israeli documentary, released in 2026, gives the floor to those who led the operations: senior IDF commanders, intelligence officers and soldiers, interviewed at night on the rooftops of Tel Aviv.
They describe a war fought inside cities, against gunmen who moved about in civilian clothes and kept weapons in homes, schools, mosques and a hospital, with tunnel shafts dug inside houses and hostages held in private homes. They explain the rules of engagement, who could authorise a strike and how civilians were warned before an attack. Photographs, footage and documents gathered in the field appear on screen.
The film runs 48 minutes. The interviews are in Hebrew, with English subtitles burned into the picture. It can be watched free of charge on the official website, with no sign-up, on a phone or a computer.
